Christmas Time Self-Affirmations

This is my first attempt at typing up an entry in the morning before work. I have literally just opened my laptop and begun typing. I told myself that this would be the “Wednesday” activity for my daily spiritual practice. You may wonder how it is that this is a part of the spiritual. So do I.

The monetization of hobbies hurts. We’re mid-Christmas week, all of my rightly minded individuals in my vicinity are disgusted by our capitalist rush for this holiday, and all I can think about is how hilarious my prank-gift to my brother this year is going to be. Meanwhile, in the back of my mind, I can’t shake the feeling that I’m meant to be striving for the appropriate lifestyle, and that I cannot wait until I’ve completed this phase of the 9-to-5.

It is approximately twelve minutes past the time I should have left to arrive at work at a reasonable time, and yet I knew taking the moment to write these thoughts down was important. This is the second of hopefully endless entries to a full-blown blog. For affirmation purposes, I must “speak” it into existence:

  • I am a good communicator.
  • I am responsible and organized.
  • I am a happy and peaceful person.
  • I am also productive.
  • I am considerate of others.
  • I draw and respect my boundaries.
  • I will complete this savings phase and transition into the life I want to live.
  • I will be prepared to live it when it comes.
  • I will prepare by completing these trials and tribulations of my own personal branding, entrepreneurship, and lifestyle self-coaching.
  • I will be successful.
  • I am successful.

Thank you for taking the time to go through my thoughts of self-affirmation. I hope you do the same.
